It has been a while since I have seen a post from the lavender chair. I love the designer, Dorianna's work. She is so creative in the things that she makes and provides such easy to read directions.

This brickwork beach bag is perfect for the beach, the market or any need you may have for a bag. The colors used to crochet this does tend to make you think of summer and the flower is a nice touch. No matter the need, this will be one on of those bags that get a lot of use.

This is a very pretty bag. I like the stitch. It appears tighter so maybe little objects wouldn't fall out that easily. I don't know if it's a sign or not but just today I learned how to O the brick stitch in beading. Then I saw this. I am taking it as a sign.

I really like the contrast in stitch texture between the top, middle and bottom of this bag. You would have to use at least two colorsI just dont think one solid color would do the texture pattern justice. The designer uses a chunky cotton yarn, but this would work just as well with something like Caron One Pound, plus that gives you a much wider selection of colors and ombre yarns.

Love the colors. They look like those pastel butter mints! It is hard to believe that it is made up of double crochets and front post double crochets. I would love to see this in a crisp navy, white, and red. Add your embellishment, perhaps a ship's wheel crochet motif that you make on your own.

The flower embellishment is what makes this plain beach bag so cute. I love that little extra touch. It looks too pretty to use only at the beach though. I would use it as a carry along addition to my regular bag or purse to carry my crochet projects with me everywhere just in case I can sneak in a little me time.
