I have a soft spot for dollmaking, and this little lady is one of the sweetest Ive seen. I love her themed clothing and matching shoes, and those little antenna sit perfectly on her flaxen locks. I have a new granddaughter arriving in October, and I think this will be her very first Christmas doll. Thanks so much for finding and sharing this pattern!

Is it me or is it now that actual ladybugs are more brown than the brilliant red as this Ladybug Sofia? When I was younger the ladybugs were beautiful brilliant red with those dark black spots. This little doll is very reminiscent of those ladybugs of yesteryear

I always think of them as being more scarlet or on the orange side of red more than a Christmas color. That's one of the best things about yarn--all the different shades of a color.
