"I have a sister in law that is expecting her first child! I wanted to make a special baby blanket for her. When I first saw this stitch I knew it would be perfect! I loved how there were diamonds in the spaces as well as the solid diamonds: one thing shifting into something else, just like she is becoming a mother."

This is a great pattern for the Diamond Lace Afghan. The video helps a lot.. I have saved this pattern and hope to get to it soon. I love working with lace patterns that turn out so sweet. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet afghan pattern.

Way back in the 60s when I was first introduced to crochet, I was always fascinated by Filet. This creative design alternates the open spaces of Filet with a more solid texture. While the pattern itself is a lot easier than it looks, The designer also includes an embedded YouTube video for both Right and Left handers. Theres a chart available, and instructions for changing the sizes.
