"This Christmas Granny Square Afghan pattern makes a perfect heirloom blanket. Made up of 64 granny squares and 8 different appliques, the blanket measures roughly 58" x 58" with the border. The following appliques are included: Santa, Snowman, Rudolph the Reindeer, Elf, Christmas Lights, Christmas Tree, Gingerbread Man, and Wreath. Each applique will be made 4 times to cover every other square to create a checked effect. Each applique also has both a written and video tutorial. Striped border is made to look like a candy cane border - video tutorial included."
Crochet HookE/4 or 3.5 mm hook, G/6 or 4 mm hook, I/9 or 5.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

For me, it does not take a lot of time to crochet a granny square. I was hoping that these squares were using appliques for each motif but nope. I would love to get this ready before Christmas. My niece will be having her first Christmas in her home and I know something like this will be a treasure for her.

I just love this. This was a CAL and like usual, I missed it. This project shows in increments of 9 weeks I can have one of this. Nine weeks from now is still in time for Chrismand but that is cutting it really close. Well, nothing beats a failure but a try.
