Ocean Kiss Autumn Ear Warmer

"Looking for a quick project for a gift; or to use up some leftover yarn? You can whip up this gorgeous Ocean Kiss Ear Warmer in less than an hour, and it takes less than 50g of yarn. If you are intending to make my Ocean Kiss Autumn Ruana, why not make this matching Ear Warmer with the leftover yarn?

"Ocean Kiss Autumn Ear Warmer is the second pattern in the Ocean Kiss Autumn Collection. Any aran/worsted/chunky weight would work with this pattern, just preferably one with a bit of spring in it. New to Ocean Kiss? It’s an intermediate pattern with an X stitch and cluster stitch. Pattern details are written in full for both US terms and UK terms."

I know the Ocean Kiss stitch pattern. There are more than a few installments in this crochet collection. I am sure you can find all the pieces from the collection right here! The name comes from the stitch and not the color of the yarn. It is a neat cris-cross technique. Super fun to do and very gratifying!

Im crazy about headbands and ear warmers especially now that weve finally gotten into Autumn. Be advisedthis designer presents this project in both UK and USA terms, and if youre not careful, its easy to get confused. There are some special stitches used in the project, too, so read the instructions carefully. One small change I will make is that since the project ends with Single Crochet, Ill be starting with a Foundation SC instead of the chain.

This pattern comes in both US and UK versions. There are slight differences between the two but not much. I think an ocean kiss would have more of a blue hint to it. I am thinking a variegated yarn that contains neutral colors plus a kiss of blue mixed within it. Easy project to make.
