This is very different and that means I want it. It will go into my on line shop. I have dozens of hand crochet purses that I made in there. I am not sewing each square together,mi will make them in strips and sew those strips together. Thanks for sharing.

What a cute purse. With the directions provided, this country squares homespun purse can be customized to fit the user. If you are a true crocheter, you could probably make this purse with the left over yarn from previous projects as noted in the post. Because I am still a newbie and my stash is limited, I can see making this twice and gifting the other just to use up all of the yarn. I like this project.

To me this country squares homespun purse looks perfect for the fall season. If you change up the colors of yarn, you could easily have one of these for every season of the year. I can see this with frills at the top in the festive green and red to carry during December.

I can see the appeal of this project but theres no way Ill be making it any time soon. It reminds me way too much of the very first quilt pieces Granny Smith had me cut when I was a little girl. Even though this is a crochet project, its still assembled exactly the same way as that dratted Postage Stamp quilt. Lots and lots of tiny little squares.

I like this bag a whole lot! Plus the pattern is rated Easy which is always a plus. The colors are really nice too and I have a plan to also make a second one in brighter, more summery colors. I prefer longer handles, or straps, so will do that but have not yet decided what material to use for them and will probably wait until the bag is finished and then see what will look good.
