Poinsettia Bottle Cozy

search

"Need a last minute gift or a hostess gift? Slip a nice bottle of wine into this lovely cozy, and youre ready to go! While it was designed for wine bottles, the pattern includes instructions for adjusting the size, so it could be used for bubble bath, bath salts, olive oil, or other similarly shaped bottles! This pattern involves some advanced techniques, particularly the colorwork. I have marked it as an experienced skill level pattern, but it could be a good challenge for an intermediate crocheter as well."

This would make a great hostess gift when you go to a party. Everybody loves a good bottle of wine and this cute cozy would protect the bottle from bumps and jolts on the way to the party. I think this would be the stealer of the evening. Everybody would want one and might even get a few volunteers to host the next party.

This project is a real step up from the usual wine cozies patterns posted for free. It does require some skill (or a willingness to learn) in color changing and chart work. With that in mind, the author provides an extensive list of resources for the reader as well as handy tips for completing the project. The only photo in the pattern itself is where the sides join the base.
