Peppermint Coasters

search

"These coasters are fun to make and are great gifts for teachers, neighbors, or anyone on your list. Make them in the traditional red and white, or mix up the colors and go for a fun, colorful coaster! A great way to use up leftover yarn too. The pattern includes a video tutorial on the two color chain loop edging to demonstrate stitch placement and technique so your coasters will look great. They work up fast and you'll want to make them over and over."

I love these little peppermint coasters. One of my favorite candies is the peppermint and it is a standard tradition to have during the Christmas holiday. I guess because of the color. However, there are not many days you will not find a peppermint in my house. I just have to make these.

I always try to have some small items for when Im surprised by spontaneous holiday gift givers. This year, I decided on a pint jar of homemade hot cocoa mix, and these coasters will be perfect to go along with it. The center is simple enough, but do watch the video on the looped edge. Had I not watched, I wouldnt have caught the reverse after the first loops of each color.

These match my tree lights and ornaments. I even have them on plates. Now I can have matching coasters. But how about enlarging them into place mats or a center piece. I can even see a table runner in my future. The possibilities will keep me very busy. Thank you for sharing this.

These are decedent. I love to set coasters out and it is so fun when they can coordinate with the holiday or season. I have a few coasters that I place out during Christmas, but these are just adorable. I think I will make two sets, one for me and one as a gift.

This is an awesome pattern. The peppermint twirls were a little confusing at first, but it didnt take me long to figure out how to do them. I made a set of these and they look even better in person than they do in the pictures. I plan to make more of these and place them around my condo while entertaining this year.
