Notes
1. Stocking is made from 3 pieces: front, back, and cuff.
2. Front and back are worked from bottom of foot upwards.
3. Front and back are mirror-images of each other.
4. Cuff is worked from side to side. Short rows (worked over only a portion of the stitches in a row) are used to shape the cuff slightly. This creates a shorter top edge.

I love the classic cabled look of this stocking. Since its a Red Heart project, you can go directly to their site for a handy download. Just look for the Crochet Cable Stocking (LW3209) for all the details. At about 20 inches long, this is a big stocking. Starting at the foot, its worked in two pieces (front and back) and then sewn together before adding the ribbed cuff which is worked separately.

I'm confused. In the stocking front and back it has this "Rows 9-11 Repeat Rows 57." But there is no row 57 in any of it.

I checked the pattern on redheart.com and the dash is missing from "Rows 9-11 Repeat Rows 57", should read, "Repeat Rows 5-7". That makes more sense. It looks like a pretty pattern. I hope you didn't give up on it.

Hi 2bwon, Thanks for pointing this out to us - I've gone ahead and updated the pattern above. Thanks! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

There seems to be something wrong with this pattern or I am much worse at this than I thought...

I love the simple look of this stocking. It's simple, but beautiful.
