"This beautiful Christmas Tree applique is quicker and easier to make than it looks. You can follow along to the written pattern or watch the video tutorial. This applique has so many uses! Add a string to the top and it is an ornament. Sew it onto a backpack, tote or your favorite winter sweater. Place in a frame and you have a unique piece of home decor. You could even add a rectangle back to turn it into a gift card holder! The possibilities are endless."
Crochet HookE/4 or 3.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge3 rows and 5 stitches= 1 inch
Finished SizeMy tree measures 4.5" long and 4" wide.

As much as I like appliqus I think my senior ladies like them even more. Where I see something to attach to another project, they immediately see them as potential brooches. I can probably count on one hand how many times Ive worn a brooch, but they wear them on everything especially around the holidays. This tree will be a definite hit.

She has got two other appliques in the holiday collection here. A snowman and a reindeer- both of which as just darling! The color on the tiny scarf on the reindeer is this vibrant, saturated blue. As far as this tree, it has more shaping to it, instead of just a simple triangle. She takes that extra step to shape some branches. It is a nice touch!
