Monk Strap Booties

Monk Strap Booties

Babies might need a lot of things, but they don't need extravagant things; keep it simple. These Monk Strap Booties are easy to crochet and they're nice and simple, which is great because the baby will look adorable wearing them. Worked in rounds, these crocheted booties can be made quickly. Sizes are provided for 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12 and 12-18 months; the booties can grow with the baby. The button side embellishment is the only design element you really need.

I just finished making a pair of these booties and they are absolutely adorable. I have a new baby boy arriving in my family in April. He will be the first boy to be born in twenty plus years. Naturally I was so excited to find "boy" patterns, although these booties in pink would be suitable for girls.

I wish these were in adult sizes.... love them.

I just released a pattern that is similar: http://www.whistleandivy.com/2013/11/womens-button-strap-slippers.html
