Lacy Picot Soap Saver
"The "Lacy Picot Soap Saver" makes a great gift, and works up really quickly. All you need is a very small amount of worsted weight cotton yarn and a size G hook, and you'll be done with this in no time. Fits a standard size bar of soap, or a little larger. Measures approximately 2-1/2" across by 5-1/2" tall. If you are uncomfortable reading patterns, no worries! Included with the pattern is a step by step video tutorial so you can crochet right along with me. Happy hooking!"

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge8 st and 8 rows in 2" sc (gauge not important for this project)

I love this soap saver. It is such a pretty, useful piece! If only I had girls, I would make these for them to use. I suppose I could make them for the boys too, but they do not really appreciate the intricacies of this type of pattern. They would probably prefer something like the LEGO soap saver.

Im really glad theres an instructional video for this project because the way the written pattern is formatted, I found it hard to get through it. The video is pretty much in real time so you could potentially use is as a Crochet Along. The pattern itself isnt difficult, and there are no tricky stitches. I appreciate that the designer explains the Picot IN the pattern instead of just at the top.
