I love the look of this crochet cable baby hat. I have been trying to find a unique hat patten to make for my nephew, who will be here in October. This would look great in a lighter color, or even black or navy blue. I love the colors shown here, but I am not sure my sister or her husband would put those on their baby.

I haven't tried crochet cables, even though I have really wanted to because I love the way they look. This is a small project, so it seems like it would be a great project to try out cables. I think it would be a great project to donate to hospitals or another charity of your choosing.

I have been looking for a new looking for a new pattern for a baby hat and this Newborn Cable Crochet Beanie is perfect! I love the look of this beanie and will be making a few of them for my up coming great Grand daughter. The written pattern is very well written and easy to understand with the stitch directions this one will come out great! Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern. Perfect timing.
