"So cute and colorful this baby braided earflap beanie hat will keep your little one warm, cozy and stylish! The puff stitches give the hat some nice texture detail while the colors make it interesting and sweet and will match a lot of outfits. This is a great pattern for a baby girl or boy, very versatile. Great for a shower gift! This pattern uses medium worsted weight yarn in 3 colors and size I crochet hook. Enjoy the pattern!"

These braided ear flap beanies are so cute! I recently made one for my newborn nephew, and my sister loves it! I am making them in her favorite football team colors, so I have one or two more to make. She only asked for one more, but I am thinking I will make one in the Chiefs colors also!

These scrapbusting baby hats have an almost Fair Isle look about them. You dont have to work them up with scraps of yarn but I do think it makes them a lot more interesting than your run of the mill earflap hat. The designer also includes a link to her post about six different ways to change colors when working a project. Comes in mighty handy!
