Fourth of July Crochet Coasters

Hosting a 4th of July party is a lot of responsibility--stylish patriotism is important! With these Fourth of July Coasters, your family and friends will be sipping cool refreshments and celebrating while a stars-and-stripes theme abounds. You don't have to just use these crochet coasters as coasters, though; they're great simply as crochet decorations or a dishcloth. The patriotic colors burst from the center of these 4th of July decorations like fireworks.  One skein of yarn makes three coasters, and they're an easy project to whip up just in time for a day of red, white, and blue.

These coasters will look great on any table even after the Fourth of July. The colors also represent summer in many ways so these would be great during the summer months. There is a dc cluster stitch used here but not hard to learn. Let's hurry up and get these made.

I was really curious as to how the design worked out like this. I went to the post thinking Moogly had created some new technique. She had me fooled. She used the stars and stripes peaches & creme stripes to achieve the color effect. Great job and I love the muted red white and blue

I love these coasters! Each one reminds me of an exploding firework with the various colors radiating out from the center. The short but well written pattern will easily guide the crafter through the project, and if you are so inclined, theres a handy .pdf download available, too. When its too hot to keep gardening outside, grab a hook and a tall glass of sweet tea, and start working up these fun little scrap busters.
