Wrapped in Lace Fingerless Bridal Gloves

Wrapped in Lace Fingerless Bridal Gloves
Wrapped in Lace Fingerless Bridal Gloves

"There's something special about lace gloves that evoke a feeling of elegance every time they are worn. These delicate fingerless gloves will take you back to a by-gone era of romance and beauty, and a time when bridal accessories were heirloom pieces, meant to be cherished, and passed on for generations. It is my goal to capture some of that timelessness in this design. This pattern is for the upper intermediate to advanced crocheter, but I have included some images near the bottom of the post, to help explain how the lace trim is worked, and how the glove is sewn together."

These are absolutely gorgeous. I must have! Wedding crochet is a very tricky field because you really dont want to work with a regular worsted weight yarn because it is just too bulky. Wedding day projects should be light and airy and lacey and delicate. These are perfect.

We have a family wedding coming up next Spring, so the prospective bride has already started putting ideas together for a theme, decorations, and of course, the dress. Ive already shown her this gorgeous project and the other patterns by this designer, and told her Im perfectly willing to make these if she likes. Shes hoping to decide before Christmas, which will still give me plenty of time for these.

Beautiful! These fingerless gloves are absolutely gorgeous. These are now on my to make list. I love their feminine and dainty look. I would like to match them to a pair of barefoot sandals and give to my friends who is having a beach wedding later this month. She will love them as much as I do.
