Granny squares are so easy to make, but this square has an added challenge to it by throwing a little heart into the center which makes it a bit more difficult than the tradition beginning of a granny square. If you master this, you will have a very pretty square to add to your projects. Its a bit tricky but doable.

Granny squares are so versatile and fun. This particular pattern can be used in many applications and I am thinking about incorporating it into a afghan that I have been working on for a while. I hope to post my finished project upon completion.

I collect granny square patterns no matter where I find them. I like to go back from time to time and just look at all the beautiful designs. On occasion, I will take the time to make a couple of them. Looking forward to making a few of these before them of February.

Oh this is lovely. I can imagine a whole blanket made from this Heartful Granny Square. I guess it would even be more interesting if the pink square will use a different contrasting color. Wow!

This is such a pretty granny square. You could make the heart in different colors as well. The possibilities are endless. It will work up quickly and before long you will have enough to make in a number of projects, including a throw, pillow, afghan, etc. Thank you for the pattern.

Excellent pattern. So glad to see that it also contains a diagram. Crocheting via diagram is so much easier now that I have learned to read them. Not all designers include a diagram with their patterns, but this is one of the first things that I look for when I am checking out a new pattern.

Such a cute project for Valentine's Day! It would be really cute in a purple hue too.

These granny squares are so cute and easy to make. I made a bunch of these, some with a red heart and pink border, and some I made the opposite...pink heart, red border. I then strung them together and made a banner that I hung from my mantle. It looks so cute and festive. I'm looking for more ideas to make out these cute squares.

This is just so great. I want to make a throw for my grand daughter for Valentine day. She loves pink and purple so I need to make the center heart with those two colors. I am so happy I found this now because I have time to make it for her. Thanks for sharing.
