You go, Fashion Doll .... Go ahead and say it, Barbie. I love this mermaid crochet dress. As a little girl I would have enjoyed playing dress up with my Barbie in this dress. My sister could sew and when I had the "baby" dolls, she would make clothes for me and I loved it. I hope I can do this for my Grand daughters as I had boys. Saving this pattern.

As a beginner I found this quite taxing, but it turned out beautifully. I did it in a variegated cotton , but actually the design is pretty enough to be done plain with a little bit of decor added perhaps. I cant wait to try it in a different yarn.

I am loving this mermaid crochet doll dress. The designer has selected to crochet the project in thread and I love to work with thread. At this time, I do not have a fashion doll, but I think I may have to buy one just so I can make this little dress. Wouldn't this be a beautiful gift for that special little lady in your life?
