I just adore the colors in this afghan! Which stands to reason since the Yarnspirations site has it listed as the Fall Colors Granny Blanket. I have a special love for Granny Square projects. Because theyre worked in little units, it just feels like youre accomplishing a lot in a little bit of time. Grannies tend to be extremely portable, too, and you rarely have to keep track of huge numbers of stitches like regular afghans.

If my counting is correct, 14 balls of yarn is pretty reasonable for an afghan. I like motifs because it allows me to get that instant gratification. It also allows me to easily transport this as a project on the go since I would not have to carry around a huge blanket in a bag everywhere I go. I never think of an autumn themed afghan! This is such a nice looking piece of work.
