New Eastside Cardigan

"With its urban style and a casual fit, the comfy, New Eastside cardigan may become your go-to jacket for spring and fall! The simple construction is almost seamless, with limited shaping, patch pockets, and an optional zipper. New Eastside was designed with Lion Brand Scarfie yarn, which I received free from Lion Brand for the design. It’s a bulky, wool blend yarn that works up quickly for a warm, soft, and fluffy fabric. The self-striping yarn, combined with the construction of the sweater creates the unique combination of stripes and color blocking."

I can see this being my new go too jacket because it has all the features I like. Having not made an article of clothing before though, this may not be the one to start with. I did look over the instructions and I see that there are a lot of them, but photos as well. I may just make an attempt anyway.

I hope you do, it's a great first sweater project.

I love the picture and I see that the skill level is easy. With pockets, a zipper and long sleeves, I hope that the instructions are true to the skill level set. There are a lot of directions, but also a lot of directions. I don't think I would call this easy, but at least doable.

I promise it really is easy ) The directions are longer in the neckline sections because of the different sizes. Otherwise it's mostly all double crochets.

This New Eastside is so cool. It is able to give you the warmth you need on those cold days. It's very easy to wear and it goes well with jeans and simple top. You may use other colors for this.

This is really cool! It appears to be a good chunk of work and effort I would need to commit myself to. I will admit, it is more than I would normally commit to. I would probably not put in the zipper and just leave it as an open jacket design. I tend to like those better anyway.

This is a very cute sweater. I think my Mom will love it because when I saw it, she was the first person that I thought of. The look is totally her. I am so glad to see that this is a rated easy pattern and that it also comes in several sizes especially the larger ones.
