This is a cute purse. Before I started to make it, I was concerned there would be holes that stuff would fall though. But because of the single crochet stitches between each berry stitch, the fabric is actually closer together than I thought it would be. The cotton helps keep it from being as stretchy as it would be with some other yarns.

For me, I would go ahead and make this with a unicorn color theme in mind, since it is really popular right now, and perfect for festivals! Think purple, turquoise, pink, all those "unicorn" colors you are seeing in eyeshadow and clothing accessories. Switch out the handle for maybe a leather or faux leather handle bought at Michaels.

The texture of this festival crochet purse really makes the project. Until now I have never tried the berry stitch but this cute purse just may be the inspiration to attempt to learn a new crochet technique. The designer gave options to as to how construct as it is crochet in two separate pieces. Before sewing together, adding a liner may be a great idea.

I think the berry stitch is a wonderful textured crochet stitch and really makes this purse very attractive. I also like the fringe that has been applied to the project. If I can master the berry stitch I think Ill make a couple of these as holiday gifts.

A cute and modern purse with an updated boho look to it. Very nice looking bag for the summer. Perfect for all of my casual outfits and casual settings. Since this is made using a cotton yarn, which I love, there is an endless amount of color combos that can be used on this. The fringe accent is the perfect touch to bring the look together.

I'm not skilled enough to make this, but hope to get there one day! In the meantime, I'll pass this pattern onto my mom and gently remind her my birthday's coming up in a couple of months...

Super cute! The berry stitch is new to me, but the blog says there are videos of how to do it on You Tube. I'm going to have to check those out and practice before I really start on the project.
