These cheery little snowmen remind me of Flat Stanley figures. Instead of a garland, I made entire families of snowmen. I was able to make some larger and smaller ones by changing the size of the hook, and used white Caron One Pound to give them even more stiffness. The really fun part was raiding my scrap yarn stash and working up the little hats and scarves.

I didn't realize these cute snowmen were so large! At 7 inches tall and 3 inches wide, I wonder if I would have enough yarn left to make a second garland? When I make garland I like to be able to offer up more than one to a friend when I am giving it as a gift. One never seems to be enough if you have a staircase.

I love this pattern. The snowman appliques could be used for other things like hats and sweaters. But, i love crocheted holiday decorations and as a garland this is too cute. I know my kids will love it. Thank you for posting this pattern. I think this will work up rather quickly and it doesnt look like it will take too much yarn.

SO CUTE I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS. I THINK IT WILL BE FUN TO CROCHET AND USE. THANKS FOR THE PATTERN!!!
