Wanderlust Scarf

search

"Stay extra warm and cozy on any adventures you have this fall and winter, with the Wanderlust scarf! So many of you mentioned that you loved the Wanderlust beanie, and how simple it was to make, that I had to design a scarf to go with it. There are some differences in the way this scarf is worked (rows), compared to the hat which is worked in the round, but I have also included an infinity scarf/cowl version that is worked very similarly to the hat, and won't have any "wrong side" rows facing the front, as the regular scarf does."

NotesIf you would like to make a cowl, or infinity scarf instead, I've included those instructions below the regular scarf instructions. You will be working in the round, so things will be slightly different, and constructed more like the matching Wanderlust beanie.

I just love the texture pattern on this scarf. This is one of those projects where you definitely want to work it in a solid just to show off the gorgeous stitch work. The designer gives several options for this pattern including working it up as a cowl or infinity scarf, and even further adaptations for working it up as an afghan. If youre interested in adding fringe to the scarf, she includes instructions for that as well.

You will keep extra warm and cozy when you wear the Wanderlust scarf this fall and winter. Made with Lion Brands Heartland yarn, the slight variations in color really make a finished piece look special. This pattern comes with two different scarf options plus suggestions for finishing off with tassels or fringe.

You will need to know how to work the front post double crochet and the back post double crochet. This will take a little bit of practice on your part to really get the hang of it. What a great set to present as a gift to a special friend for the holidays! I actually think the rectangular scarf is wearable for the man in your life, too, in the green or even a heathered gray
