This would make a perfect Christmas gift for my mom! She's always cold. :)

Maybe I have too much kitchen remodeling in my head right now, but as soon as I saw this project I thought Subway Tile. In crochet terms, its actually called the Woven Stitch. It might sound complicated, but its just working rows back and forth while alternating our old friends, the Post stitches. The designer suggests working with two strands of yarn. Working one in color and the other white would make an intriguing Linen look.

Every once in a while I come across a very basic and simple design for a cowl or a scarf. Sometimes you WANT something simple that does not compete with certain tops that you have in your wardrobe. This is one example of a cowl that fits the bill. It is worked with two strands held together to get the bulk. The name is just right because the stitch technique used looks like a woven! Nicely done.
