Glacier Cowl

search

"On my recent trip on a Crochet Cruise, I crocheted this simple cowl to wear on an excursion to the top of a glacier in Juneau, Alaska. This pattern uses only one Caron Cake. I made mine with the color Cake Pop. The colors really did resemble the stunning beauty of the magnificent glacier. The ribbed texture makes this cowl easy to wear as a long version or doubled up around your neck to keep you warm and cozy."

This pattern is so easy and looks awesome with self color changing yarn. I've made 3 of these so far and love them! It's easy to make them longer or shorter as well. Thanks Jeanne!

This is such a thick and hefty looking cowl and I love that the pattern is considered easy! Love the color choices they used on this one as well, I think I would like to make one in a darker variation though to go with my current winter coat.

What a nice looking cowl this Glacier Cowl is. The pattern is well written and makes me want to learn how to do the foundation double crochet. I have never done it, but see that it skips a few steps and makes for a quicker crochet pattern. I love the Caron Cake yarn that has different colors and just enough to make it look like you have used multiple skins of yarn but only using one, So convenient to use. I will be making a few of these to have on hand to go with different outfits. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
