Crochet Easy Ribbed Scarf
"Easy Ribbed Scarf looks more fabulous with variegated yarns that color changes shortly. It’s a simple pattern crocheting in back loop of each single crochet stitches. Anyway, this scarf is not only for men. The pattern will perfectly match for women as well. You can make this scarf with your favorite #4-Medium or Worsted weight yarn, solid or variegated yarn. I selected a larger hook J-10, 6mm for the loose and stretchy stitches. Start with any number of stitches you want and finish after the width you want to get. Also, you can add fringes. It’s your choice."

This would be a wonderful scarf to work up for a man. No dainty frills or lacy effects here! Because you determine the length first, you have the advantage of making just the right size. The rest of the scarf is worked back and forth until you have your desired width. The variegated yarn looks nice (Im making one for my son in Camo), but it would look equally nice with a solid steel grey or another masculine yarn.
