Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge18 dc, 7 rows = with 5mm crochet hook.
Finished Size5 wide and 36 long
To make this lacy scarf I used larger crochet hook for sport yarn. You can use any type or weight of yarn and size of crochet hook.

My niece actually picked out this scarf for herself and I immediately went to town I love Crocheting shells they're so elegant and make any scarf look dazzling. And ti the surprise of most they're so easy to do ! For this pattern instead of doing a foundation hdc I chained 24 and crocheted a hdc into the bird chain from the hook then a hdc into each of the remaining chains and continued with the pattern. Sport weight yarn is one of my favourite to work with but if you want it to be a little thicker than you can use 4 worsted weight and use a 6-6.5mm hook instead
