I just recently learned how to crochet the crocodile stitch and it is challenging, but beautiful. I am making this Colorful Rio Scarf using Herschner's Worsted 8 Yarn in the color Tunnel Vision which is shades of grey, and it is coming out absolutely gorgeous (less "costumey" than the multicolor. If you need a great tutorial to learn the crocodile stitch I suggest the following link https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDSt2QvstE4 it is the best one I found.

This almost looks more like a costume piece than everyday wear. We have parrots, and this scarf does look like layers of colorful feathers. With all those Crocodile stitches, its a major yarn eater, too. The designer gives two different variegated yarn options as well as suggesting physical yarn changes. The Crocodile Stitch is described in the instructions, but there are no photos or other tutorials.

I wanted to skip this picture. Croco stitch scarf? What's that? I did not regret opening this. It's so cute. I want to do this for my own use or for sale, let's see.

I'm about a quarter of the way on the Rio scarf. LUV IT!! It's easy, the vibrant colors give me a lift. Really excited!! Thank you!

Love the way it looks. Plan on starting the scarf in the morning.

It's lovely! I'm going to make it.

why when I click to get the pattern for the Rio scarf does it not let me. I get a small picture of a hand w/something on it but no pattern.

I love the look of this scarf. I watched Michael Sellick's tutorial on YouTube for allfreecrochet.com on how to make the crocodile stitch. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks easier to make than it seems. The tutorial is very good. I think a variegated yarn would be best with this pattern because it seems to give more dimension.

Love the patterns, thank you
