"These watermelon crochet coasters are perfect for beginners and so fun and cute for summer! I’ve been using my crochet coasters so much lately and they are way better than regular coasters. Because these are made of cotton, they’re super absorbent and will soak up the condensation that drips down the side of a glass. Unlike regular coasters that end up with a little puddle on them. Also, if I do have a spill, I can use the coaster to wipe it up and then just throw it in the wash. So easy! The pattern also includes a video."
Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook

I love, love, love watermelons, and its not officially Summer until Ive devoured my first slice (or two or three or four). This version of the ubiquitous watermelon coaster has a wider rind that some of the others, so when I save this file Im going to dub it the Bradford Watermelon coaster. Its not only an heirloom variety but named for one of my family lines.

There are more than a few watermelon coaster patterns available out there. This particular one looks like it has a small ledge or lip around it. That is a feature much appreciated! It will serve to hold my glass in place much better. I ALWAYS add my little black seeds to my fruity watermelon coasters. It just completes the look. I have given them as gifts to a few of my closest friends and they just adore them. Fun to make!

I know what you mean about all the different watermelon crochet coasters. It does look like theres a slight lip on the outside. It would be easy to do anywayjust work that round a little tighter.
