Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

I was surprised when I started reading through the instructions that this hat is actually worked from the top down. It looks very similar to those worked from the brim up. I was also pleased to see that the entire project (both beanie style and messy bun version) is worked almost entirely using Post stitches. Once you get the hang of working Post stitches, you can go remarkably fast!
