"Have your entire family ready for the pumpkin patch with these cute pumpkin hats! The texture and stem add nice detail and character. My son wears his every year when we go to pick out our pumpkins! These hats use medium worsted weight yarn (a skein or less) and size I crochet hook. They work up quickly and are so much fun to make! Enjoy the free pattern! Sizes include baby, toddler, child and adult."

Despite the near constant rain last month, our local pick your own places are gearing up for the season. I have a good friend who runs one of these establishments, and might work up a few of these to see if shed like to put them into her country store. Its hard to think about a warm hat when were still having temps in the upper 80s, but it gets windy out in those fields.

This is the perfect time of year to start making all of your fall themed hats and outerwear. An easy and quick project like the "Pumpkin Patch Hat" should be in your WIP pile, ready to travel with or take along to those last trips to the lake house or cabin for the end of the summer. I adore how the entire family can have matching pumpkin beanies! Perfect for an Instagram moment.
