Easy Double-Layer Crochet Beanie

"This beanie is worked flat and then sewn together, so don't worry that you can't do it because you can't crochet in the round. That's not necessary for this pattern. It uses a special X-stitch with detailed instructions on how to do it. Materials needed include a skein of DK yarn, a J/10 hook, and a tapestry needle. You will also need a pair of scissors. This beanie works up in two to three hours or so."
