"Welcoming a new baby is one of the most exciting times for parents. Their registry is full of practical items like car seats, blankets, and onesies. I’m all for practical gifts, but a memorable heirloom gift will be kept forever. A gender-neutral hat can be passed down to the next generation. The sweet story of how Nana crocheted them this baby hat will be retold over and over. The newborn crochet pattern is really simple and the tiny size makes it another quick project."

All these photo prop newborn hats remind me on an Anne Geddes book of photos I gave one of my daughters when she was expecting her first child. The designer gives well written instructions but no photos other than the finished project. There is a free pattern download but you have to provide your email address. Even though I generally choose a .pdf option, I dont like being obliged to disclose my info.
