Being able to make a plush baby mat in about an hour is the bees knees for me. I love easy projects and this will be a easy project to mix up the items I create and donate to charity. Blankets are awesome but babies also need a soft place to play safely on the floor. Great free project. Very beginner friendly.

These are very valuable pieces of real estate to a mom and her new baby. As a mother we want to keep our precious bundles safe and there is no where to fall down from the floor but we want a soft spot for them to entertain themselves while we are off tending to other things. Upon this, baby is safe and comfy. What more can you ask for?

What a great idea. I have twin boy grand kids that would love this and I would too. The pattern is very easy to follow. Not only is there written instructions but there are pictures too. That's why this is so popular. It's something almost any one can do. Thank you for sharing this.

I am a huge advocate of play mats and this is a wonderfully simple design. That yarn is just amazing, and if you can find it, you wont regret working with it. Of course, it may require that you buy a new oversized hook. And that would just be a shame, wouldnt it? If youd like a .pdf of this pattern, the designer will send you one if you provide your email address.

I say this will surely impress if you are presenting it as a gift! I am blown away at the simplicity of it, and how the simple pattern plus the addition of the super bulky chunky chenille-type yarn translates into something so practical!
