"A beautiful project to crochet for moments of reflections. The finished project is @ 10"x10" not including the tassels. I thought to tell you about Luke 9:23 today. A cross suspended by lattice. A stash buster and wonderful gifting idea. A quick project to complete with the h crochet hook and a number 4 yarn. Just the size to carry with you all the time or to take with you on a visit to your house of worship."

Size h hook / a 4 yarn ( I’ve used premiere flower yarn (I found at dollar tree or red heart super saver white here)

ch 37 dc in the first ch from the hook ch2 skip 2 ch and dc in the next ch 2 follow that pattern to the last ch in the row
ch 5 skip 2 st and dc in the next ch 2 *skip 2 st and dc in the next ch 2 repeat from * to the last st in the row dc into the 3 ch
ch 5 skip 2 st and dc in the next ch 2 repeat 3 times skip 2 st dc in the next 7 st ch 2 skip 2 st dc in the next ch2 skip 2 st dc in the next ch 2 skip 2 st dc in the next ch 2 skip 2 st dc in the next ch 2 skip 2 st dc in the 3rd ch (repeat from the last ch 5 twice)
ch 5 skip 2 st dc in the next ch 2 skip 2 st dc in the next ch 2 skip 2 st dc in the next 19 st ch 2 skip 2 st dc in the next ch 2 skip 2 st dc in the next ch 2 skip 2 st dc in 3rd ch (repeat from last ch 5 once)

rsc each st and chain around the prayer cloth and cut & tie off the yarn ‘weaving ends if necessary

Tassels (Make 4)

Use yarn and a 41/4 wide piece of cardboard or thin book wrap the yarn around the cardboard or book 30 times cut the yarn take a 6″ piece of yarn slide it in the middle of all the yarn loops tie in a tight knot and bring the the top ie. the top of the tassel.

Slide off the cardboard or book holding the tied on yarn start 1/4 if the tassel length away from the tied on yarn use both hands to wrap the working yarn around the tassel and tie into a tight knot and start to wrap more working yarn @ tassel 20 times cut working yarn and weave ends

tie on and knot one tassel on each corner of the prayer cloth cut and weave ends
