Its always interesting to read the back story about how a designer comes up with their ideas. I could relate to this designers dilemma as I also tend to make plain hats. This double layered flower is very simple to work up. The hardest part for me is attaching the 5-chain in Round 5, so the designer has addressed that with a photo.

Huge throw pillows made to look like these would be beautiful.

I love these. I had a bunch of left over yarn so I made a bunch in different colors. I sewed a small snap on the back of each one. Then I made a head band for my grand daughter and sewed a snap in the middle. Now she can wear her headband, which I did in white, by itself or she can change the look every day by just snapping on a different flower.

Beginner crocheter; this flower was easy to make until I got to the 4th row (where you had to work from the back). I guess I either skipped an instruction or doubled; my flower didn't turn out like that. Grant it, it came out as a pretty flower but (and now that I'm thinking about it, I am positive that I doubled on an instruction somewhere...) I ended up with a 6 petal flower!

These are great flowers. I'm almost 70 and I had no trouble understanding the instructions.

i must be the most uncomprehending person on the planet. Could not make head nor tails about the pattern, maybe thier right we can be to old for somethings
