"Scrappy projects are such useful projects and this one can serve multiple purposes when you finish! The Scrappy Mini Tote Bag is sturdy enough for a little storage tote, but stylish enough to carry as a simple bag as well. This project is beginner friendly, as it is made with simple stitches and it’s forgiving. You may need to take breaks as you are working with tight stitches to help the project be stable, but it is otherwise an easy, fast project. I love the construction of this bag. You’ll start with a small flat piece and then crochet in continuous rounds, so you’ll want to use a stitch marker to keep track of the rounds. I’m thinking ahead to the Christmas season and this would be a wonderful little hostess gift! Tuck a candle and some lotion for a self care set or some kind of preserves and a dishcloth inside for the foodie you love to treat. This project was made with my personal favorite bulky yarn which is quite thick and contains some wool. Make sure to choose a bulky weight yarn that will be sturdy and isn’t too many wraps per inch. That will help your tote bag stand up well and keep its fantastic shape. "
