Movie Night Crochet Popcorn Bag
Movie Night Crochet Popcorn Bag

"Movie night at our house means popcorn! My 3-year-old son loves popcorn but when I give him a bowl most of it usually ends up on the floor. He likes to play/watch a movie so he is moving around a lot and trying to bring his popcorn along with him…so cute but messy! I thought he would like his own popcorn bag so with my yarn in one hand and my hook in the other I went to work! He was very excited when I gave it to him and immediately wanted to make some popcorn. I filled up his bag and he loved wearing it around/eating it out of it and what’s better it stayed in the bag! I added a drawstring at the top so the popcorn wouldn’t fall out as easily. He really enjoyed his own special popcorn bag! The bag measures 8″ tall, 4″ wide with a 4″ depth and 14″ for the strap drop. This pattern uses 100% cotton yarn and size G crochet hook."

Not only can this be used for movie night, this would be a great bag for those on the go trips. Using these in the car will hopefully keep the chance of making a mess down to a minimal. I think this is a great idea. I will have to make one for all my grands.

I did not know that this was going to be an actual popcorn bag until I read the forward by the designer. My first thought was that it was just a cute novelty bag. I love the concept totally. I am sure this will continue to be a huge plus for all involved. Less mess and a happy snacker.

Forget about filling this with popcorn, I have an entirely different use for this bag. My husband and I are both retired, so weve been hitting the movie theatre a lot this summer. Most of the theatres around here dont let you bring large bags in, but I still need a place to carry my phone, wallet, keys, etc. Im going to work this up a couple of rows wider to accommodate my mini tablet, too, so I wont have to worry about a hot car.
