Reusable bags are so much better for the environment than throw away shopping bags. This is a great way to not only recycle the old plastic bags, but to have something you can use to keep down the number of shopping bags you use. I love making this sort of thing. Now if I could just remember to bring them into the store with me when I am shopping!

Totes are one of my best things and I have made gazillions of them for myself and family and friends. Here is another great tote pattern and I love the box bottom which is such an unusual design touch. The only change I am going to make is slighter longer handles which is simply a personal preference. I have mountains of plarn as well as fabrics that I have cut into yarn so all that is left to do is select the yarn and get started!

I think this is a great way to use these plastic bags, am looking forward to making one for myself. I have also been trying to find the pattern for a crochet bleach bottle purse, what I have found on line is not like what we made in the seventies. The ones from the seventies were cut into about foue to five inch squares then crocheted around the edges pretty much like the can hats, then put together to make pretty purses. Can you help me find thid pattern, as it is I'm doing it on my own as I remember from those good ole days. Ha Ha. Thank you for this pattern, love the look of these bags. Helen
