Touch of Southern Warmth
Touch of Southern Warmth

"You'll love how easy it really is to make the Touch of Southern Warmth blanket! The Bernat Blanket yarn is simply amazing and you'll be surprised at how quick the project actually grows. While I designed this project with a "guy" in mind, simply changing the colors will totally make it a girly project too! Just pick out your yarn and get started! It would make a great housewarming gift, Christmas Present, or even something to keep for yourself!"

What a great find. It's easy and can be made up in no time. I teach my friends how to crochet and this is a perfect project for a beginner. They can change the color to fit their decor and it won't matter to the pattern. Thank you for sharing this one.

There are so many things which make this blanket great. Let's start with the gender neutral look. Next, we will talk about the ease of working the pattern. After that, let's not forget to mention the extreme light weight of this yarn as it transfers into a full sized blanket for your large bed- it will not be heavy like a brick. Rather, nearly light as a feather. There's nothing I hate more than feeling like I am suffocating under a concrete slab of a blanket! I love this design!

Great beginner project. This is definitely a guy blanket and would make a very nice and warm gift for your boyfriend, husband, son, grandson. Kids will be going back to their dorms soon and this very warm and heavy blanket will certainly keep them warm and remind them of home this cold winter.

Who, seeing this gorgeous Southern Warmth afghan that you have made, would ever guess that the pattern is rated Beginner! The colors are so striking that it simply can not fail to brighten up even the dullest of rooms. Our guest room desperately needs some attention and this is going to go a long way to converting it into a lovely, welcoming space.
