It's also really pretty if you let a variagated yarn do all the colour work for you! This is James C Brett Marble Chunky 100% acrylic that comes in around 85 colour variations in a 200g ball. You can make two of my cowls with just one ball!

This project is a very easy crochet pattern using just one stitch and a fairly small amount of Lion Brand Heartland worsted weight yarn. Quick to make and usually only takes a little under 2 hours for an effortless gift depending on how fast your work and what your skill level is.

If youre looking for an easy, stress free project to keep your hands busy, this is the one for you. Just figure out how long you want to make your cowl (the designer suggests 30 inches before seaming). Then after the initial chain, you work your Half Doubles in the Back Loops Only until you get the width you want. Sew it up and youre done. What could be easier than that?

WOW! Less than 70 yards of Lion Brand Heartland yarn and you're DONE with a wonderful and thoughtful gift. Who else totally appreciates options like this?! I am sorry for all the exclamation points but this is exciting to me! So fashionable, I'd make several colors to coordinate with all my outfits.
