Merlot Bliss Cowl
"This beautiful cowl could be a treat for yourself or a stunning gift for a friend. It is so soft and squishy you will never want to take it off. Gorgeous deep rich colours from Lion Brand Heartland, matched with a stunning luxe faux fur trim to give it that real luxury designer look. The Merlot Bliss Cowl is a luxurious combination of the beautiful soft acrylic yarn from Lion Brand in the colours Badlands and Black Canyon, and the matching Merlot Faux Luxe Fur from Sirdar Alpine. You will need 1 and a half balls of Badlands and 1/2 a ball of Black Canyon, plus one ball of Sirdar Alpine. to make the same size cowl. However this design is easily customisable to make it to the size you require. Look out for more patterns using the same stitch combination and/or matching accessories! The piece is made in one piece as a rectangle and then seamed together on the short ends. Great project for beginners, easy stitches, you will need some experience of changing colours."

This is just gorgeous, and I can get my hands on all the suggested yarns except that particular fake fur. Since the designer appears to be a Brit, Im wondering if that Sirdar Alpine can even be found in US stores. Amazon does carry an Oxblood that looks like what shes calling Merlot, but its not eligible for Amazon Prime. Does anyone know if theres a similar product easily available in the US?

I would say this is something in between a cowl and an infinity scarf, because the length is something different here. Do you like the faux fur rows sandwiched between the Heartland yarn? Do you like to mix textures and colors to make something like a mixed media scarf like this one? I find it quite refreshing. LOVING the merlot color for fall!!

If I can't get the fake fur here, I'm wondering if that Buttercream Thick and Thin might work here. I have been looking for anything to use this yarn.
