You can use this Crocheted Canadian Flag as a Garden Flag (like I plan to do as soon as this rain stops!) or you can simply mount it on a chained strand and display it in your front window on a suction cup. Finished Size 11 inches wide by 7 inches tall (flag) Gauge approximately 4 hdc / inch approximately 6 rows / 2.75 inches You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern - just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different. When my grandmothers Scots family emigrated to the New World, about half came to American and the rest to Canada. Still lots of cousins on both sides of the border. I might not make the flag part of this project, but I am definitely making the maple leaf! This would look darling on a red and white hat and scarf set, or worked up with a smaller hook, a nice pin. I missed Canada Day this year, but Ill be all set for next
