"What’s more festive and fun for the holidays than a gingerbread playhouse?! Such a cute addition to your holiday decor and also a 2-in-1 playset, complete with accessories and little gingerbread people! So cute! I made this for my son last Christmas and he loved it! It was so much fun to make but definitely takes some time. Please allow yourself 3-4 weeks of working on and off to complete the house. Though it takes some time, it is definitely worth it! It will be a cherished piece for years to come! Enjoy!"

This is a first. I have see decor for ginger bread houses and cottages but not as a toy. This is a work of art that will serve as decoration when it is outgrown by the original owner.

This would be the perfect gift for Christmas for that special little girl. Doll houses are one of those items that are at the top of the list for Santa to bring. Wouldn't you like to be one of Santa's little helpers. Any young girl would love to find this under the Christmas tree.

You cant tell from the above photo, but this is actually a dollhouse! Ive seen similar projects made from plastic canvas, but never from crochet. The designer calls for using cardboard to stiffen the walls and roof, but if youre willing to spend a little more money, invest in some inexpensive plastic cutting boards from the dollar store. I keep a stack of these for various crafts, and theyre cheaper than plastic canvas.

Every year I make a real ginger bread house. And every year one of the grand kids cries after we eat it. They want to keep it. So this year they can not only keep it but play with it too. This is so neat. Thank you for offering this wonderful project.

Aren't the little gingerbread people adorable, too? I would add a few more embellishments, and can we have a gingerbread dog and cat?
