This hat really does look sweet! I am looking at a variety of baby hats, trying to decide which ones to make for my nephew that will be here in October. I cant wait! There are so many different ones available, it is hard to choose! This boy will have the warmest, cutest head around!

This hat is worked pretty much the same as similar hats, but instead of working a Single or Double Crochet, the designer has selected an Extended Single Crochet instead. Pay particular attention to her Notes because it explains a few things that work well with this stitch. She provides instructions for Newborn through Adult sizes, but because the yarn and hook size doesnt change, it may not look quite like the photo.

I can't get enough of baby hat patterns. I love the fact that this pattern would work perfectly for both boys and girls.
