Hope Lace Bible Cover

search

"If you're looking for a special crochet project to commemorate your faith, or add an extra meaningful touch to your morning devotional time, this beautiful, heirloom quality, lace Bible cover crochet pattern is sure to be treasured for years to come! The crochet lace pattern, which looks complex, is actually easy to pick up, and is something that you will be able to finish quickly. The flower motif reminds me of lilies which are often associated with Easter, due to the themes of purity and rebirth. Because of that, this beautiful crochet cover would also work for a baby dedication, first communion, or baptism gift."

NotesAn assembly diagram is included. The panels are joined with sc, instead of being sewed together.

This is so delicate that I thought it was a tatting project, not crochet. You really can see the lily motif in the stitching. The designer provides numerous photos detailing how to place the flaps to hold the book in place as well as other specifics. Im not convinced the thread tie is the best closure though. I would work a small tab and maybe try to find a special button.

This Hope Lace Bible Cover will make your Bible look so presentable and elegant. Black and dark moss green will be very good colors for a cover. Perfect as gift.

This is such a beautiful Bible cover. It would also work as a novel, prayer book or New Testament cover. I think it is perfect for a Bible cover for a Bride to carry at her wedding. A fresh or silk bouquet can be easily attached to the crocheted material with corsage pins. I did a similar cover to this one for my own wedding.

Oh my, I really needed this pattern last year when I was making Bible and book covers for gifts for several of my friends. This would be perfect for a few of the ladies as it is way more feminine looking that the ones that I made and gifted. I think I will be giving them a redo.
