Mariselle Shawl

"Mariselle is an easy crochet shawl worked on the bias, combining simple double crochet with crossed stitches for added texture. The bias construction creates beautiful drape and works especially well with self-striping yarn, sending the colour changes diagonally across the fabric. Finished with optional tassels, Mariselle can be worn draped over the shoulders or wrapped comfortably around the neck. /DETAILS Skill level : Confident Beginner US Terminology /MATERIALS DK (#3) yarn: approximately 744 yds / 680 m 4mm crochet hook (I use Clover Amour hooks) Scissors Yarn needle Piece of cardboard for making the tassels: approximately 4–5 inches wide × 3–4 inches long The yarn needed for the tassels is included in the total yarn amount. /FINISHED SIZE Wingspan approx. 54 inches / 137 cm Top edge to tip approx. 25.5 inches / 65 cm /STITCHES AND ABBREVIATIONS USED double crochet (dc) crossed double crochet (xdc) chain (ch) stitch/es (st/s) Right Side (RS) Wrong Side (WS)"
