This would be just so cute for a little boy! You could add some train appliqus near the ends, or if you change the color of the scarf, add little cars instead. For a childs scarf, I would eliminate the fringe on the ends though. There is no pattern on the sitebe aware that you will need to click on an additional link to access the pattern this project is based on.

This is adorable. And after reading thru the pattern, it appears to be easy too. That's my three requirements at the moment. Fast, easy and cute. But seeing as I live in Florida I don't need a scarf. But how cute would this be if after I finished it, made it into a big bow for the front entrance way?

I'd like to print the pattern with a photo of the scarf on the same page, which I can't do.

I do this all the time...Just Highlight the pattern with the photo;right click your mouse and press "copy"; then, in another window, open your word processing program and have a page ready. Next, on another right click and press "Paste" with the full paste option to make sure the photo copies along with the directions. Hope this helps.
