I would definitely do this cowl pattern but only make it larger and turn it into a shawl or wrap. Love the gorgeous colors. I like wrapping in a blanket on chilly evenings on our balcony overlooking the ocean. It gets chilly late in the evening sometimes and I need to wrap up but a cowl is just an accessory that I would not use.

How did I miss this sweet cowl? Im glad I stumbled on this years Crochet Along because now Ill have to go back and see what I missed. Still time for the rest of the 2017 projects, too. This cowl uses the simplest of stitchesits really the self striping yarn that makes the difference. I worked up a swatch in solid daffodil yellow and another in winter white, and they were both equally lovely.

Maybe someone out there can tell me exactly what the Funky Stripes chunky yarn is? Usually the patterns list the yarn manufacturer along with the name of the yarn. I can see why it is called the "Beachy Sands" cowl. Just look at it and you will see what resembles a white to beige sandy beach with the blue ocean waves . The extra special touch of the coconut button (at least that's what it looks like) supports the entire idea behind this cowl. Suitable for beginners and advanced beginners. This one will be so pretty.
