Colorful Quick Mat

The Colorful Quick Mat is a great project for all you scrap savers out there. Using a thick chunky acrylic yarn and the double crochet stitch along with the cluster stitch, you can have this mat made in no time. Decorate your floor and greet your guests in style. This particular mat would be a great thing to keep by your front door to welcome guests. Variegated yarn creates a neat looking design, but any color bulky yarn would work well for this free crochet pattern.

This is a pretty rug or mat. It should be thick and plush since it calls for 2 strands of bulky or chunky yarn held together, which you could imitate with 4 strands of worsted weight held together. I'm sure this rug would look great in whatever colors you have on hand, maybe help empty some of the leftovers out of your stash!

I loved the pattern of the mat and the rugs. These will compliment the floor wherever installed. http://icustomfloor.com/

I love this pattern . H I,m having trouble with row 2 after the ch3 cl 3dc at the end of the row 1. Where does the cl 7 stitches go for the first cl. I tried this and the cluster with 7 stitches looks to puffy almost like a popcorn stitch. My crochet group says the same thing. What to learn this. Be more specific . HELP ???? Laura

If you click on the button that says "Click here for crochet pattern" it will open a page with that downloader thing. If you ignore it and scroll down you will find the pattern. I'd estimate it's about 1/3 of the way down the webpage. Hope this helps.

I started a vest using a similar pattern, finished one side but can't understand how to do the opposite side, it looks pretty but not really easy, in my opinion.
